Welcome to Member Services
INTELECOM serves
as the managing and fiscal agent for The Southern California
Consortium for Community College Television - a distance learning
consortium which has grown from 18 member colleges from its
founding in 1970, to today's membership of 15 districts representing
30 community colleges.
INTELECOM serves the consortium in several ways:
- Producing credit and non-credit telecommunications-based courses;
- Acquiring or leasing additional media-based for use by the consortium;
- Operating and programming its own cable channel, the Community College Instructional Network, and;
- Offering a number of other support functions, including staff development and course workshops.

High Quality, Telecommunications-based Courseware
Rights to use twenty-six
Consortium - produced and - acquired distance learning courses for credit transfer, non-credit and fee-based instruction.
Many of these courses have won the highest accolades education
and television have to offer.
Rights to use the video elements of Consortium-produced and acquired courses
as audiovisual supplements in support of campus-based instruction.
Option to purchase, at a reduced consortium price, per-semester course leases
through INTELECOM.
Established Distribution System
Access to over 100 hours of education programming each week through
INTELECOM's Community College Instructional Network - a wireless cable
system owned and operated by INTELECOM, with signal strength reaching Los
Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange counties.
Unlimited videotape duplication and digitization rights for use within course
instruction, including placement in learning resource centers or libraries for
students viewing, or for check-out to students for off-site viewing.
Provision each semester by INTELECOM of current broadcast schedule
information, course updates, booklists, and Consortium contact information.
Professional Growth and Development
Potential for academic participation in INTELECOM's development of new
courses or the revision of existing courses.
Access to INTELECOM staff and consultants for on-campus visitations and in service
meetings with faculty.
Information Resource
Access to staff for answers to faculty and administrative questions relative to
new and existing courses and distance education issues.
