Short-term Courses
ATTENTION: Changes in short-term
course student fees
As of Spring 2003, student fees for the courses licensed through
the PBS-ALS increased from $20.00 to $22.00 per student.
The list of "Permanent Consortium Course Offerings" totals
26. These courses have either been produced or acquired by
INTELECOM for long term or life-of-course use by Consortium
colleges. Members pay for use of these courses within their
annual assessment fees, as outlined in the Joint Powers Agreement.
As a further service to Members, INTELECOM leases other approved
courses on a term-by-term basis. Members remit to INTELECOM
course license and enrollment fees on a "pay-as-you-use" basis,
separate from the annual assessment fees. For course and episode

Services.
CONDITIONS
1. A minimum of three Consortium colleges must elect to offer
a course during a given term in order for INTELECOM to receive
a discounted license. In multiple college Districts, each
college scheduling a course with on-campus sessions is required
to pay applicable license and enrollment fees. Once all Course
Selection forms are received by INTELECOM, colleges are notified
as to which courses INTELECOM will license. For those courses,
participating colleges will receive a one-page license Agreement
from INTELECOM for signature and return.
2. Upon INTELECOM's receipt of the signed license Agreement,
participating colleges will be invoiced for the license fee.
Approximately 4 weeks after the term commences, enrollment
data will be requested from the participating colleges and
invoicing will follow INTELECOM's receipt of said data. All
fees are due and payable during the semester in which the
course is offered.
3. Course rights for Short-Term Course Lease Options include:
1)PBS and/or cable transmission, and 2) videotape check-out
to telecourse-enrolled students. Supplemental audiovisual
rights are not granted as part of licensure.
4. INTELECOM will air these courses on CCIN only if space
permits. Members should coordinate their own airings on other
local cable or ITFS systems if desired.
Note: Failure of Institution to utilize all or any protion
of the Telecourse will not reduce the lease fees and will
not affect the payment and reporting obligations of the Institution.
LICENSE AND STUDENT FEES
Said fees are due and payable during the semester in which
a college offers these courses:
For It's Strictly Business and The Power of Place:
3-6 colleges = $425 + $22 per student
7-10 colleges = $400 + $22 per student
11-14 colleges = $350 + $22 per student
For Dollars and Sense and MediaWaves:
3 colleges = $500 + $20 per student
4 colleges = $375 + $20 per student
Over 4 colleges = contact INTELECOM
Only student fees apply to the courses listed below. Said
fees are due and payable during the semester in which a college
offers these courses:
